For years, I’ve played fantasy football in the English Premier League, where you get given a budget and every player is assigned a cash value. You then have to select a squad, using the budget you’ve been given. I’m not a fan of the fantasy baseball ‘draft’ system; is there a game which uses the same system as English fantasy football, rather than having to use the draft system?

  2. Turboessence says:

    Yes there is

  3. Bandito says:

It starts with highschool right? Does every highschool got a soccer team and are they all on the same level?

  4. Mr.Whiteson says:

The soccer system here is very different from a place like England. Not every high school have a soccer team. The age group cut off dates vary state to state.

I am sure there is a winning soccer betting system out there, can anyone point me to the right direction please.

    Hi Alvin,

In this kind on instance, you should google it or go over to ezine articles and type in your question in their search form. I did that for you although I am not a betting system enthusiast. In my opinion, the author below looks like the person that can help you on this topic further. Looked under his article source, you will find several articles related to your topic.
    Hope this helps.

What branch of the nervous system controls the action of kicking a soccer ball?

    - Autonomic nervous system
    - Sympathetic nervous system
    - Somatic nervous system
    - Parasympathetic nervous system

I am unsure what branch it would be, any help would be appreciated.

  8. Ka says:

    - Autonomic nervous system
    You don’t control that

    - Sympathetic nervous system
That is the fight or flight response, you don’t control much of that

    - Somatic nervous system
    That is your answer

    - Parasympathetic nervous system
That is returning to your normal self after the flight or fight response.

I live NEAR Chicago and i was wondering how you get into the youth system if the tryouts and practices are like an hour away from where I live

  10. JC says:

Well, unless you’re so good that they will come out to see you – in which case, send them a video of yourself playing along with a “resume” detailing your accomplishments as a player, and let them know that they should come check you out; the best way is to find a way to get to their tryouts.

Here is the schedule for the Chicago Fire’s Youth Academy tryouts. I figure that is the closest team to you.

I do reffing for my local house soccer league. I became a referee grade 8 last year.

I have done 3-man and single games, but tomorrow I will be doing a 2-man system for a U16 game.

Can anyone give me some advice (especially on positioning) for a 2-man referee system?

This is just a friendly house game, so USSF and FIFA regulations do not matter.

It is critical that you both get there early and have an extensive pre game. If the other has not worked a two man, consider doing a three man with a club linesman.

I don’t do that many two man games. But keeping the calls consistent between the two of you is critical. You cannot get lazy or lulled into in action. Stay as wide as the widest player in your zone*. I stay with the deepest offensive player rather than the 2nd to last defender. You need to be able to go down to the goal line and watch the penalty area…. and, *you need to be able to make it up to the half way line and watch the half way line to the penalty area… edging over to the center circle.

One of you need to be the ‘senior’ to handle all the time / record keeping… starting and stopping halves.

I think my first two man was on a G or B14. In the opinion of the referee…. doing a B16 as a first game would only be good IF it were a practice game. If it is going to be a fast and aggressive game, consider the three man with a club linesman.

There is a good reason NOT to do a two man. In many cases you won’t get any support from your soccer league or federation of there is an incident.. but some times you gotta do, what you gotta do….

I think we are in the second round there right now and are expected to make it far. Why do you think we’ve become so good at soccer? Years ago we would not have made it that far and would have lost to big teams easily.

  14. ElYangaChivasRegresa says:

OUR Mexican youth system is great. YOUR youth system is going down the drain. The U.S. lost to Germany 4-0. Mexico is in the quarters (the only team in CONCACAF to reach this far).

  15. highburied says:

I think the MLS should instigate the promotion/relegation system into the MLS. Week after week we watch the same sht teams play eachother to 1-1 draws, 1-0 wins. Teams that don’t perform in the MLS should be relegated to the USL and the top 2 or 3 USL teams should be promoted.

  16. Alex says:

well seeing as how the MLS has already denied the proposition to treat the USL as a developmental league, your idea (although reasonable) is already squashed

Would anyone here can guild me 1 thing or 2 how to 80% make gain in betfair soccer system ?

What i mean is i only place 20% bet stake but could create 100% profit .

I’m looking at some results from world cup qualifying and trying to make sense of the scores. They will say somthing like 5:0 (2:0). I get that the 5:0 part is the final score of the match but what does the (2:0) part mean?

  20. pubby says:

the (2.0) part would have been the score at half time, or if the match was a two leg game then (2.0) would of been the score after the 1st game
